God has been good to everyone regardless of our situations. You cannot enjoy God’s Grace without being thankful nor can we separate Thankfulness from the Grace of God. Giving thanks is not an option, it is a command. Being full of the Holy Spirit results in giving praise and thanksgiving to God. It is the will of God in Christ Jesus. The moment you are not giving thanks to God regardless of your situation you are out of the Will of God not necessarily because of your situation or what you are doing but because you are not responding appropriately to God’s goodness. Quality, genuine and heartfelt praise and thanksgiving to God is a must if you are responding to God’s goodness in your life. It is the attitude of a genuine Christian. In fact according to scripture you should never bring a request to God without thanksgiving. Why? because God has first given you blessings and in return expecting you to “Give Him thanks” for His goodness and blessings. You are to give it to God. It is in your hand. Whatever request you have, bring it to God with THANKSGIVING. It is the way of life. It cannot be substituted with another thing such as religious fasting and prayer people are doing today. Don’t focus on your feelings, your circumstance, your situation but the Truth that you have every reason to “Give Thanks to God”. It is an attitude of remembrance, appreciation, gratitude, honour and adoration. Thanksgiving is acknowledgment and appreciation to God’s goodness while Praise is acknowledgment of God’s Majesty and Greatness. After all is said and done, it’s time to show gratitude to God who is the source of all our accomplishments this year. Thanksgiving is a prove of acknowledgement of God being your source and helper. Giving thanks is a requirement in experiencing a continuous flow of God’s blessings. Thanksgiving uplifts and establishes one’s victory, dominion and success. It is a great tool in our hands to crush our enemies and render them powerless. It is the duty we owe to God and everyone that has affected our lives in a positive way.
